Pakistan pace legend Shoaib Akhtar says that India’s new Test opener has better technique than Virendra Sehwag. Rohit has different shots in his book while Sehwag was known for his hard-hitting. Akhtar said earlier he thought that Rohit would be the Inzamam Ul Haq of India. He said Rohit is a great player. I share this thought with him in 2012. These words are power booster, they give courage and confidence to a player and the same happens in his game. He started trusting his ability and you can see the change. Great players like Rohit has the ability to change the game at any point in time. He is unique and his records in ODI say it all. I believe, he will do the same in Test also.

Rohit scored 176 in the first inning and 127 runs in the second inning in Vizag against South Africa. He became the first opener to do this in the first match as an opener batman. He also broke the records of the highest number of sixes in an innings of Wasim Akram. This is just a start, Rohit has to show this class on the outside tour which Sehwag did for India for a long time. Sehwag has an average of 45 on the foreign tour.
